About Share Ministries

We are a non-profit organization that serves people both spiritually and physically. We provide food on a weekly basis to people in the Sherman, TX area. Our goal is to not only provide material assistance to people but to also give them a smile and let them know that Jesus loves them.

Our History

For over 3 decades, William (Mr. Bill) Whitehead has been serving the poor in Sherman, TX with Share Ministries. The ministry started as an offshoot of Fairview Baptist and then grew into its own entity and launched as a not-for-profit ministry in 2016. The original location was in downtown Sherman in the old Santa Fe Bus Station. We have continued to grow and move since that time and in 2010 we moved to our current location of 820 E. Houston Street.

Share Ministries has grown steadily and we have gone from serving 40-50 people a month to now serving over 1300. We are starting to grow once more and go out into the community to deliver food to those who cannot travel to our facility.

Like most ministries, volunteers are the backbone and the lifeblood and the Sherman community has spent many hours serving at Share. We have some volunteers who have been with us for over 20 years!

Our Mission

To further the Kingdom agenda placed before us by God. To serve different walks of life, sharing hope, love, and prayers together. Providing an independent and Christian environment at a campus designed for them by God.

Our Hours

Food distribution takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 11 am. Worship Service is on Sundays starting at 9:30 am. Immediately following the service, food is distributed to the attendees.
