About Share Ministries
We are a non-profit organization that serves people both spiritually and physically. We provide food on a weekly basis to people in the Sherman & Denison, TX area. Our goal is to not only provide material assistance to people but to also give them a smile and let them know that Jesus loves them.
Our History
Since 1985 Share Ministries has been serving the under served in North Texas with a giving heart. The ministry started as an offshoot of Fairview Baptist Church in 1985 and then grew into its own entity and launched as a non-profit ministry in 2014. Providing individuals and families with sustainable nutrition was our focus. The original location was in the old Santa Fe Bus Station in downtown Sherman. We have continued to grow and move since that time. In 2010 we moved to our current location of 820 E. Houston street. Share Ministries has grown steadily from serving 40-50 people a month to now serving over 2,000 individuals and families each month and over 36 non-profit organizations and churches for their food pantries. Like most ministries, volunteers are our backbone and lifeblood. Volunteers in the Sherman & Denison communities have spent many hours serving at Share Ministries!
