Volunteer Basics
Work is important and all of our work is accomplished by volunteers. However, HOW the work is done is even more important than it GETTING done. Our mission at Share Ministries is to SHARE the gospel with our actions. It is important for volunteers to be friendly and smiling, to interact with our guests and converse with them. It can be intimidating because we get a wide variety of people who attend, but the greatest gift you can give someone is dignity and respect. As you work, push yourself to reach out to the guests and even the other volunteers and give the gift of a smile and Christlike interaction.
What do volunteers do?
We organize food donations, distribute food, listen to the stories of a guest, smile and laugh at their jokes or cry with them in their heartache. We pick up food at local donation sites, load and unload trucks and sort through donations. There is always lots to do and many hands make light work… c’mon down and join us!
What should I do when I get there?
When you arrive the first thing to do is check in with Jeanne or Bill. Hopefully you have already watched the video tour of our facility so you’ll know your way around. We will introduce you to the rest of the volunteers for the day and show you what we’re working on. Please don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Can I bring a group to volunteer?
Absolutely! You will need to schedule this so that we can put together a specific project for your group! Please email us below and we will coordinate this!
